Daily Style Post #4- Halloween Edition

Happy Halloween Killjoys!

Though I'm bummed I didn't post more photos of my October OOTD, I know I'll be wearing most of my Halloween type apparel over the next few months regardless because to me it's ALWAYS Halloween.
I did manage to take a photo of my pre-costume outfit from today. Enjoy!

OASAP Product Review: Fall and Halloween Haul

Hey there Killjoys!

Today I'm showing you the items I received from my latest OASAP haul. I wanted to keep with the Halloween/fall theme, which you'll see in the items I selected. Everything you see was under $65 after shipping. Totally a steal in my opinion.
First up is this Skeleton Sweater. It's super soft. It's a bit thin, but still warm. It's also a little baggy, which is fine for me since I love baggy clothes! Probably one of my favorite items of this haul, and the item I get the most compliments on.
Next is this Rad Crop Top Sweater. I do like it, though it fits me a bit weird. It's too long on me to be a crop top and the material and cut of it reminds me of a hockey jersey. I feel like I'd have to tie it up in the back to wear it out, but I do like it. I think it's comfortable and cute. It also comes in white!
I also ordered this Red Skirt, which is high-waisted and comes in a variety of colors. It's really comfortable and flowy. It's also not see-through and seems to be really well made. I'm petite, so I'm glad to see that this wasn't too long or too short on me.
I figured I couldn't go wrong with a new pair of Black Over the Knee Socks. They are also available in grey. They are really comfortable, however they aren't very stretchy and although they fit my legs fine with some room, they might not fit everyone. They do come right above my knee, so if you're a taller girl, they might be under the knee.
Finally, I ordered these Brown/Red Ombre Hair Extensions. I LOVE THEM. This is all from one track. Its a one-track 6-clip extension that came in about 10 or so colors. I ordered the wine red ones. Although they are a bit more pink than red, I love them and they blend perfectly with my natural hair color. They are heat resistant and look and feel real.
Overall, I have no real complaints. As always, OASAP has provided good clothing at a reasonable cost. They also sent out a tracking number once everything was shipped. I definitely recommend them, especially if you shop on a budget.

Pinky Paradise Circle Lens: Product Review III

Hello there Killjoys! I'm so happy that it's officially October. I'm a little bummed with myself for not posting sooner, but I've been super busy and am leaving again for about a week, so I plan on overloading this with reviews and style posts once I'm back, so be prepared!
In the meantime, I have another review from the amazing Pinky Paradise. This is my third review for them, and this time they have sent me two new pairs to do Halloween and Cosplay tutorials with, so make sure you're subscribed to my YouTube since I'll be adding 1-2 new make-up tutorials each week for the rest of the month!

As usual, here are some photos of the packaging and whatnot.
First up! EOS Dolly Eye Violet
Size: 14.2 mm
Base Curve: 8.6 mm
Water Content: 38%
I had no trouble getting these in my eye. They are clearly purple on my dark brown eyes, but for some reason show up a whole lot more vibrant in photos (even with no flash) than in person, which you'll see on the YouTube video review.
Overall:
Comfort: 5/5
Enlargement: 2/5 I don't really think they made my eyes look bigger, but the color really popped, which is what I wanted
Naturalness: 3/5 from a distance, I don't think people would realize they're contacts, but they probably will up close and in photos. Also, they don't have some crazy design, which makes it look a bit more natural.
The second pair is the Geo Ultra CK105 which are black circle lenses. I LOVE THIS PAIR!
Size: 14.8 mm
Base Curve: 8.6 mm
Water Content: 38%
These look a lot bigger than 14.8, which is a good thing. They blend with my natural eye color perfectly and really give me that dolly-anime look that I was going for. At first, I had trouble getting the one lens in my right eye, but every time after that I was fine.
Overall:
Comfort: 5/5
Enlargement: 4/5
Naturalness: 4/5

As always, I'm very happy with the overall quality. The shipping was super quick and they sent cute contact lens containers as a gift.
Also, if you use the code Halloween2014Jeanne on your Pinky Paradise purchase until October 6th, you'll get 50% off your purchase!

So Lolita: Product Review

Hey there Killjoys!
Today's review is from the clothing, wig, and accessories store, So Lolita.
Today I'll be reviewing a wig from So Lolita. At first I was really confused because the wig I ordered was a dark red/mixed wig. The item I received in the mail was a pink mixed wig. It didn't come with an order form or anything saying it was from So Lolita. It was just the wig, wig cap, and a "Coser Wig" business card. Also, I was told that I would receive accessories or some type of jewelry to go along with my review, which I did not receive.
I emailed So Lolita and they quickly responded and apologized. Because I am reviewing this as a sponsored blogger, I'm not sending it back. I am just going to give an honest review on the product and was told my red wig would come with my next order.
So without further adieu, I bring you the Dream Girls Curl Sweet Roleplay Lolita Wig! I will say, So Lolita is just as expensive as other high quality wig shops like Gothic Lolita or Arda Wigs. This wig runs about $44, but is very high quality.
It feels and looks like real hair, the color is gorgeous (I'm still not sure what to call it. There's clearly pink, but I can't tell if it's like a silver/purple/brown/ash kind of color mixed in lol), and I've had very little to no fallout when I brush it. It is heat resistant which means I can straighten the wig.
I didn't have to trim the bangs or anything, and I've been able to style it in a ton of ways from side-swept bang to pigtails to buns. The hair on the cap is really thick, making the cap not visible.
Even though SoLolita sent me the wrong wig, I would recommend them. Their quality is amazing based off of just the wig I received. Their customer service was also very nice. I'm sure if someone actually ordered something and it wasn't just a sponsorship, they would probably send a new wig out or at least send a return slip and exchange the wig.

And in case anyone wanted to know what wig I initially ordered, here's a photo:
There's also a video review for SoLolita on my YouTube as well.

CosplayFU: Product Review

Hey there Killjoys!

Today I'm bringing you a cosplay review from the company Cosplay For You aka CosplayFU.
First things first, CosplayFU made both cosplays custom-tailored, completed, sent, and arrived within 3 weeks. They also included a tracking number, which is always a plus for impatient people like myself who wait at the mailbox every morning when they know something is on it's way lol.
I opened my package, which included 1 large plastic bag that contained two smaller plastic bags, meaning both costumes were separately packaged. Each bag had a sticker on it that displayed the product name, size, and items inside of the bag.
I'm not going to lie, I have really mixed feelings about the items I received.
The first cosplay, and easily my favorite of the two, is Blake Belladonna from RWBY.
It came with the vest, top, shorts, leg pieces, glove, and arm wrap. Everything fit perfectly. The only adjustments I'll have to make is hem the shorts a bit more because I personally want them shorter, and the vest is a bit long where the neck pieces attach so I might adjust those as well. Other than that, everything looks great. I thought the leg pieces would be tights, but I'm happy with what I received. I'll probably wear black leggings underneath to ensure that the thigh highs don't show an end.
Overall, I'm really happy with how Blake is and I give it 8 out of 10.
The next costume I received was Kyoko from Danganronpa. It came with the skirt, button up shirt, tie, and jacket.
There were several costume options for Kyoko. One was a leather jacket, one was a blazer. I went with the blazer. The jacket looked like a light purple in the original photo but the customer photos were all the accurate purple, so I figured it was either my screen that was the problem or if they sent me the light purple, I would just dye it. Well...the jacket came in red. Like...RED red. I can't dye this at all. It fits, but doesn't fit like a blazer. It fits more like a uniform jacket. When I went back to double check the page I saw "color may differ from photo" and "if you would like a different color jacket, please include in notes". I could have missed that when I made the order, but I really don't remember that being there.
The skirt, however, is perfect. Perfect color, perfect length, perfect fit. The button up top it came with also fits perfect. The tie came in orange, and it's supposed to be red. I will give them a point for making it the right square shape and adding the logo. I'd probably give Kyoko a 2 or 3 out of 10
Overall, although the costume fit really well, I'm unhappy with it because of the jacket. I could have made/re-used other cosplay pieces to make this. The only thing missing for me was the jacket. I haven't contacted Cosplay FU yet, so when I do, I'll be sure to add an update to this.

It's hard to say whether or not I would recommend Cosplay FU. Based off of Blake, I'd say absolutely. However, based of off Kyoko, I'd say no. I guess just be careful with what you order, and see if there are customer reviews/photos to base your order off of.
